Herbal Hair Wash Powder

       In now a day, Everyone wants to live healthy life and chemical free life in our society. But is it possible for us? 

       Shampoo is a basic and necessity thing in our home. But nobody gives the knowledge of what it has. We also may know that so many of the food products have contained with toxic substances. Similarly, the most personal care products have also contained with toxic substances that are hazardous to our body.

      The harmful chemicals in these cosmetics while entering your body is especially easier when you take a hot bath, when the pores on your skin are well-open. These toxic (harmful chemicals) directly enter your blood stream. But natural cosmetics, food or anything else will never give hazard to us.


HOW TO PREPARE HOMEMADE HERBAL HAIR WASH POWDER:
       I know, making this herbal hair wash powder at home is not so easy as just grabbing one shampoo bottle in the supermarket.

INGREDIENTS:
  • Acacia Concinna/ Sigaikai  - 1 kilo gram
  • Green gram      - 200 gram
  • Fenugreek/ Methi   - 200 gram
  • Dried hibiscus flowers and leaves  - 200 gram                                           
  • Dried curry leaves   - 200 gram
  • Dried henna leaves  - 200 gram
  • Dried amla/Indian gooseberry- 200 gram
  • Soap nut (deseeded) -200 gram
  • White turmeric       - 200 gram
  • Citronell aromatic grass(vettiver)  - 200 gra

METHOD:
  • Sun-dry all the ingredients till they became dry completely and crispy.
  • take it to a flour mill and grind it all together to a fine powder. In any case it is important to make sure that the grinder is not used to grind spices since even slightest tinge spice can cause irritation.
  • Store the herbal hair wash powder in a clean and dry airtight container in a cool and dry place. Because moisture can spoil the powder.
HOW TO USE:
  • While taking oil bath, take a required amount of the herbal hair wash powder and mix some water or rice starch water to make a paste.
  • Rice starch water means, cook some quantity of rice in a normal vessel with enough water(traditional way cooking). after boiling the rice, you drain it. That remained part of water has called as rice starch water or kanji. It softens your hair.
  • Apply on your scalp, using your fingers in Circular massaging motion.
  • Let it soak for 5 to 10 minutes, then wash your hair. 
  • Use regularly. You can get good result.
