Homemade Herbal Bath Powder

      Herbal face wash or body wash powder is popular in South India. It made with natural ingredients such as turmeric, white turmeric, green gram, rose petals, and  others..

How to make Herbal bath powder?
        You can find and get all the ingredients mentioned below in any herb shop.

INGREDIENTS :
  • Green gram       - 350 gram

  • Dried rose petal  - 100 gram

  • Cyprus Rotundus root   (korai kizhangu)    - 100 gram                               
  • Citronell aromatic grass(vettiver)  -     100 gram

  • Senna (Avaram poo) - 100 gram                              
  • Fingerlings turmeric(virali manjal) -       4 or 5

  • Dried lemon peel    - 4 or 5

  • Dried orange peel  - 100 gram                                  


    METHOD:
    • Sun-dry all the ingredients till they became dry completely and crispy.
    • Grind it all together to a fine powder. You can use your home mixer grinder or take it to grinding mill. The grinding mill is better than home grinder. In any case it is important to make sure that the grinder is not used to grind spices since even slightest tinge spice can cause irritation.
    • Store the herbal bath powder in a clean and dry airtight container in a cool and dry place. Because moisture can spoil the powder.

    WHO CAN USE THIS?
    • Every one use this, except for babies under 6 months. Because it may cause any allergic reaction.
    • When you prepare this herbal powder for boys, skip the turmeric. 
    • For all girl babies and women, you can use all the ingredients list as it is.
    • Before using this powder please do a patch test to make sure that you are not allergic to any of the ingredients. Allergic to this herbal powder are rare, but it's better to safe.
    HOW TO USE:
    • Take a required amount of this herbal bath powder and mix some water to make a paste.
    • Apply all over the body and leave for 5 to 10 minutes. Then wash it off with water.
    • Otherwise,  you can use it as a fash pack powder. To make a smooth paste with water or milk or curd. Apply all over the face and leave it for 10 to 20 minutes. Then wash it. while washing,  use your fingers in a circular massaging motion.
    • People who has dry skin, you can use curd or milk instead of water for better results.
    • For normal skin, you can add water or curd or milk.

    THINGS TO REMEMBER:
    • If you are allergic to any of the ingredients, you can skip it.
