HOW TO PREPARE THOOTHUVALAI RASAM



HOW TO PREPARE THOOTHUVALAI RASAM:


INGREDIENTS:
  • Thorny creeper leaves    - 30 leaves
  • Pepper - 1 Tea spoon
  • Cumin seeds - 1 Tea spoon
  • Garlic - 5 cloves
  • Red chilly - 3 nos
  • Coriander leaves - 1 handful 
  • Curry leaves - 1 strand
  • Tamarind - 1 gooseberry size
  • Tomato - 1 ( if needed)
  • Salt - as needed
  • Turmeric powder - 1/4 tea spoon
  • Mustard seeds - 1/4 tea spoon
  • Asfoetida - 1/4 pteap spoon
  • Gingelly Oil 
METHOD: 
  • Clean and wash that leaves finely.
  • Take a kadaai, pour some oil, add pepper, cumin seeds, thoothuvalai leaves and garlic, then satue well in low medium flame and grind it together finely.
  • Then take a kadaai, pour oil, add mustard seeds, urad dal, curry leaves, red chilly and that grinded paste, saute them well.
  • Then add tamarind paste, turmeric powder, salt and asfoetida.
  • After boiling that rasam, add coriander leaves finally and turn off the stove. 
  • Now you can serve the hot and healthy, yummy thoothuvalai rasam with rice.
