Curry Leaf powder preparation method at home and its health benefits

        Curry leaf tree is originally grown in India for its aromatic leaves. Curry leaves can be added to many dishes because of its distinct flavour. However, there is much more apart from their flavour.  It can use for both medicinal and culinary.

        Curry leaves are rich in vitamin A, B, B2 and C. It also has iron and calcium. Curry leaves have antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, anti-fungal and anti-oxdiative properties. 


HEALTH BENEFITS OF CURRY LEAF:
  • If you are consuming curry leaves along with a healthy diet, it may help to weight loss and maintain your cholesterol levels.
  • Vitamin A is one of the most important in vitamins for eyesight. Curry leaves are loaded with this vitamin A. It may help to keep your eyes in a healthy state.

HOW TO PREPARE CURRY LEAF POWDER AT HOME:
  • Take required quantity of curry leaves and wash it. Then spread this on cotton dry cloth and let it rest for dry at least 5 days at home.
INGREDIENTS:
  • Dried curry leaves - 3 Cup
  • Toordal        - 1/4 Cup
  • Chana dal    - 1/4 Cup
  • Urad dal       - 1/4 Cup
  • Coriander seeds  - 1 tb.spoon
  • Fried gram    -1 tb.spoon
  • Cumin seeds  - 1tea spoon
  • Pepper          - 1/2 tea spoon
  • Dry red chilly - 4 nos
  • Asafoetida       - 1/4 spoon
  • Salt                   - 1/2 to 1 spoon
METHOD:
  • Dry roast all the ingredients in low medium flame.
  • If you needed, add some measure of jaggery.
  • Grind it all together to a fine powder. You can use your home mixer grinder.
  • Store the curry leaf powder in a clean and dry airtight container in a cool and dry place.
