Health Benefits of Raisins (Dry Grapes)

 Grapes are one of the favourite fruits of all. High quality grapes are selected and processed and dried. Grapes thus processed are rich in nutrients.

Raisins are available in three colors: green, black and golden. It is best to use the dry grape variety available with the seeds. It is better to avoid genetically modified varieties.

  • Soaking raisins in water before going to bed at night and consuming raisins with water the next morning can increase the number of red blood cells, get rid of anemia and eliminate fatigue.
  • Raisins are good source of antioxidant compounds. It has the ability to kill cancer cells. So it is best to eat black dry grapes to protect us from cancer.
  • Antioxidants may help to keep the skin cells young and prevent damage from aging cells.
  • Those who want to reduce weight can eat raisins.
  • If there is any infection in the kidney tract, Ayurveda recommends dry grapes to cure it.
  • Eating dry grapes also reduce the risk of cancer and heart disease.

Are there risks of eating raisins?

Raisins are generally beneficial but sometimes when raisins may not be the best snack.
