HOW TO PREPARE PIRANDAI IDLY POWDER AT HOME:
INGREDIENTS:
- Pirandai - 1 bunch
- Chana dal - 1 cup
- Urad dal - 1 cup
- Dry red chilly - 10 nos.
- Garlic - 10 cloves
- Curry leaves - 1/2 cup
- Tamarind - 1 small lemon size
- Asafoetida - 1 spoon
- Salt - as required
- Sesame oil - 1 table spoon
METHOD:
- Clean and wash the veldt grape(Pirandai). Cut into it small pieces. When cleaning it, you apply some coconut oil on your hands. Because it can cause itching.
- Take a kadai, pour some gingelly oil, add veldt grape(pirandai). and saute well. Then strain that oil and keep aside. You can use that oil, if you have knee pain or joint pain.
- Dry roast all the ingredients in low medium flame.
- Let it rest for few minutes to cool.
- Grind it all together to a fine powder. You can use your home mixer grinder.
- Store the pirandai idly powder in a clean and dry airtight container in a cool and dry place.
